*In Year 7/8 these subjects will be delivered via ASDAN lifeskills challenges to secure foundation skills and knowledge and give pupils the confidence to access more traditional style learning in Year 9 as they progress.
Yellow Pathway
Students on the Yellow Pathway access the same subjects as those on the Blue Pathway; however, the delivery model differs. Rather than a predominantly classroom-based approach, students engage in experiential learning through our CHANGE curriculum. This is underpinned by ASDAN Lifeskills challenges ranging from Entry Level 1 to Level 2 qualifications.
The Yellow Pathway complements the Blue Pathway, allowing flexibility for students to move between pathways as their confidence and needs evolve. Decisions are made through a wider analysis of each student.
Green Pathway
All new starters to Fulcrum will begin on the Green Pathway and partake in our ‘Build Up’ programme which fosters the CHANGE values in addition to key skills and attributes such as teamwork and developing resilience.
The green pathway is also a time-limited curriculum for students who may find a full timetable overwhelming, have joined us part way through the year or have previously had disjointed educational experiences prior to starting at Fulcrum.
The pathway consists of:
Interventions – Phonics/literacy/numeracy interventions
Therapy – (needs dependent) – Thrive/ Drawing & Talking/ Lego Therapy/ ELSA
External Offer – Our students partake in an external offer each week based on their interests/ needs – these range from bricklaying to Forest School and Daisy Chain.
